Ever wanted to know what happens in an airport control make your flight safe or how you can order something from the other side of the globe and have it next day, Velocity is the place to be!
Velocity is Lufbra's society for transport!
Including land based , maritime and aviation transport and transport systems. As a society, we hope to give you the opportunity to experience things you wouldn’t have the chance to normally.
In the past year our trips have included:
DHL at East Midlands Airport
Rolls Royce in Derby
Airbus' Finkenwerder production plant.
Hamburg International Airport.
NATS at London Stansted Internatational Airport.
Meeting new people is a large part of the Loughborough experience, here at Velocity this is no different. We actively encourage as many members to go out on out vaired socials, everything from Bowling and Ice Skating in Nottingham to the ubiquitous Union night's out!!
We welcome anyone to join. Annual membership for freshers 2011-2012 is £10 (plus £5 for society insurance), and £5 for returning members. If interested, you can purchase membership through the Lufbra Society homepage, or sign up at the bazaar in October 10!
Whether; you are a student studying Transport, you want to see how to transport industry works, you fancy developing a career within transport, or you just want to make new friends.
Velocity is the society for you!!
