Musoc aims to bring musicians together by putting on events and socials during the year. When you get a band or act together then we will get you a stage and help promote the event. Your career could start here...

Musoc Jam Sessions
The next one will be on December 7th.
What? The jam session is an opportunity for musicians to get together, get to know each other and to have a laugh. If you are a guitarist, bassist, vocalist or drummer, then come and check us out. If you don't play or just want to watch then that is cool too. We will provide guitar and bass amplifiers and a drum kit. Come down and have a jam with some like-minded people, if you get on well with them then why not invite them to form a band?
When? Every other Wednesday from 2.00pm to 5.30pm, December 7th,

What to bring? Bring your instrument, yourself and a sense of humour!

Society Information
Membership - Joining Musoc costs £7.50 (+£5 if you have not yet joined the Societies Federation).
Socials – Throughout the year Musoc will be holding socials open to all members, giving you the opportunity to meet other musicians and hopefully form a band/acoustic act with like-minded students. Our first social will be soon after the bazaar, so make sure you join up fast!
Musoc: Introducing – ‘Introducing’ is a night at the Union. Where we can showcase any music acts in Loughborough. There will be a drum-kit, bass amp, keyboard and guitar amps set up ready for you to use. If you are interested in playing then email us and we will be happy to get back to you.
V.I.P access to Aura Studios -
Discounts on rehearsals – Once you’ve got a band together you’ll need a space to practice, and Aura Studios is the perfect place to rehearse. If you join Musoc you can book the studio at a discounted price. Aura Studios costs £10 per hour but Musoc members will get a reduced rate of £7 per hour.
Discounts on Recording – And when you’ve got songs worthy enough to record you can book a 2-hour recording session for £30 (normally £40)
Free Recording Session – Every term members will get the opportunity to book a free recording session at Aura Studios. This can be for a solo acoustic recording or a full band recording, it’s up to you.
Make Noise! – During the year Musoc will be hosting a ‘Battle of the Bands’ style event in Room 1 at the union, with prizes awarded to the top 3 bands.
