Model UN runs debates on the main issues facing the world in the style of the UN by having discussions between society members at weekly meetings and at conferences which can be as far afield as Singapore or as close as Nottingham. It gives you a practical way to develop key skills such as public speaking, negotiating and networking. Plus it gives you a chance to compete against other universities across the world, and meet key players in politics.
As well as debates, we run regular socials in and around Loughborough. Socials at conferences are often as big a part as the debates.
In a nutshell: you meet new people, learn about key issues & have some great socials!
