Sports:
We run weekly Men’s Football and Women’s Badminton, open to all. Participation is free of charge for members, and £2 for non-members. The times for the sports are subject to change so please check the Activities Calendar on our website for the time and place details.
Study Circles:
Study Circles usually run on a weekly basis, and there can be more than one going per week. Topics may include Tafsir alQur’an, Seerah, Hadiths, Qur’an memorization/tajweed. Some circles are open for both brothers and sisters, while others are held separately. Courses:
We try to run courses on Religious topics once per term. Usually these courses take place on weekends and go into finer details of the topics. Some courses we have run are, “History of Fiqh”, and “Aqeedah Al-Tahaawiya”. Guest Speakers:
We regularly invite guest speakers or scholars to lecture on specific topics. Attendance to these is normally free of charge and open to everyone. Please subscribe to our mailing list via our website and/or regularly check the Activities Calendar on our website for the details.
Social Events:
Several social events take place throughout the year. We normally have an annual Barbecue, and some fun trip (eg. Paintballing). We also try to run regular social activities throughout the year, like weekly get together. These events are subject to change so please check the Activities Calendar on our website for the time and place details.
Major Events:
Charity Week- This takes place once a year. It is a year where we focus our time and effort on collecting charity for the poor and needy. Normally this is done in participation with Onecharityweek and the money raised goes for orphans and needy children around the world.
Islam Awareness- This event also takes place once a year where our focus is to raise awareness about Islam, educate as many people in the message of Islam and explain away misconceptions about Islam.
Discover Your Faith- The aim of this event is to renew our faith and further strengthen it by bringing in speakers and scholars to give reminders and lectures that develop our knowledge remind us of the Creator and relationship to Him.
