Computer Society

The LSU Computer Society (LSUCS) is comprised of a wide range of members, from the casual console gamers to the hardcore overclocking enthusiast. We have over 100 members in the society and have weekly socials on Tuesday in JC's. We have close ties with the airsoft society and go on joint social events together, if you join both then you get a discount from each society’s membership. We host the largest student LAN parties in the UK, with various competitions (TF2, L4D2) and prizes supplied by sponsors. Other computer societies also attend our LAN parties and we also attend York University’s LAN parties on a regular basis. Other social events include megazone, go-karting and airsofting trips. The society also runs educational seminars on topics such as networking, programming and overclocking.
