What is the Societies Federation?

The Societies Federation is a section of the Students Union that consists of 57 clubs/societies. Each society is ran by an elected committee of students, these elections take place in February each year.
Anyone can join any society at any time!

What does the Societies Federation do?
Organises Society related events,
Get students involved in extracurricular activities.
Get students making new friends and meeting people
Trained in other skills that their courses may not cover ie First Aid Courses, Food & Hygiene Courses
Support new societies and current societies with any issues they may have

When and where do Societies meet?

Each Society is different, they all meet at different times and at varying frequencies,

What Does It Cost Me?  
Every society charges differently, ranging from the minimum of £5 to approximately £70, to see the society joining fees click on the specific society's webpage which can be found here

Every member must also pay an initial fee of £5 societies federation affiliation, this then covers you to join as many societies as you wish
