Adrian says “ Hypnosis is a subject many people have an opinion on and yet few people have ever directly experienced. So what is it exactly?

Hypnosis is as old as civilisation itself and was officially recognised by the British Medical Association and the American Medical Association in the mid
1950's.

Hypnosis is a powerful technique that can help you change negative beliefs and achieve your goals, treat serious emotional problems, It can dramatically improve performance for athletes who want to improve their game and even students taking exams. Even if you are already on top of your game, hypnosis can help keep you stay  there!

Sports Hypnosis helps with:

  • Removeing obstacles to success

·         Loose or gain weight

  • Increase motivation
  • Focus more clearly
  • Remove hesitations
  • Improve performance
  • Alleviate pre-competition nerves
  • Improve mental stamina
  • Dramatically increase endurance

Hypnosis is about being in a state of total relaxation and hypnotherapy is simply a method of putting you into a very relaxed state so allowing you to work on solving your problems.

The difference between someone who is successful and someone who is not is down to how they communicate to their unconscious mind, otherwise known as self-talk. Often people talk negatively telling themselves "I'm not strong enough, not fast enough, I'm not good enough"; they know what they don't want "I don't want to lose", "Don't hit the ball over the bar".

The unconscious mind however is unable to process negatives so "I don't want to lose" is processed, as 'I want to lose'.

As powerful as the unconscious mind is, it is the servant of the conscious mind. This means that it will do what the conscious mind tells it to.

For example, think of the conscious mind as the ship's captain and the unconscious mind as the ship's crew, working on deck, in the engine room and in the galley and so on. The captain gives the orders and the crew responds ensuring the ship operates effectively to travel in the right direction and at the right speed.

With hypnosis I am able to bypass the conscious mind and communicate directly with the unconscious mind in order to give it positive and empowering suggestions”.
