The number one hall at Lufbra!
Hey hey everyone, Welcome to Faraday, the best hall in the WHOLE of Lufbra. We are situated right in the centre of the student village, we are at the heart of everything you could want. Not only are the Faraday rooms some of the nicest on campus, but with our busy dining hall and newly improved common room, there will not be much need to stay in your room! In the summer we have our very own grassy quad, great for socialising/ games/ barbeques, and finally very close to us we have the new and improved EHB, our adopted bar!
On the social side we have great socials at least once a month (we are currently planning a trip to Alton towers, which is a great way to mix with all of faraday in a fun environment!) We also have our own female and male drinking clubs: Phillies and Buffs. But obviously LSU advises you to drink responsibly!
Sport is our forte. Having been IMS (inter-hall sport) champions for the last 5 years, and doing well again this year, we are very proud of our sports sides. If you’re looking for a hall where you can get involved with a whole range of different sports Faraday is for you. Even if you just want to have banter on the sidelines being a passionate supporter, we always pull a good crowd.
RAG (charity collection) is also where we excel, winning numerous trophies last year including, most money raised by a fresher in RAG week and most raised all year. It is great fun, especially in Faraday. The RAG reps are lively and friendly, and you can be assured an awesome day on all of our raids, whether we dress up and collect for the day, or make a whole weekend of it!
If you’re applying to Loughborough we’d love to have you here in Faraday. If you’re already on course to become a Faradonian in September we look forward to meeting you for another awesome Fresher’s week!
