Global Development Committee
Global Development Committee is chaired by LSU Executive Global Development Officer to implement the ‘Lufbra’s Going Global’ campaign which aims to give all students the best possible globalised Loughborough Experience and promote Loughborough University globally.
Positions up for Election
The following positions are up for election on Thursday, the 5th of November from 3pm till 5pm in the Meeting Room, upstairs in Loughborough Students Union. Please prepare a speech with no more than 2 minutes, explaining why you would like to run for the position, any experience or skills that may help with your applied position and etc.

Secretary (1 position)
---organises committee meetings, takes the minutes and distributes them amongst the committee members. The Secretary is also responsible for any inter-committee correspondence, as well as answer students’ inquiries at the request of Global Development Officer. The Secretary will also be responsible for writing publicity messages for GDC events.
Newsletter Editor (1 position)
---is responsible for assisting the Global Development Officer to produce, distribute and promote issues of 'Lufbra's Going Global' Newsletter to all Loughborough Students. He/she is responsible for ensuring all other union policy is adhered to, particularly policy on logos. He/she will also be responsible for writing articles and/or finding suitable people to write them.
Multi-media and web developing Officer (1 position)
---is responsible for the production of any other media (such as posters, video clips etc). Therefore he/she must be experienced in the field of graphic design, in order to produce posters/promotional material to promote ‘Lufbra’s Going Global’ initiative and other international events. He/she will also be responsible for the Global Development Committee website. Previous experience in Photoshop/Pixelmator and knowledge of HTML and CSS is strongly desired.
Global Enterprise Officer (1 position)
--is responsible for informing students about opportunities abroad. He/she will have to look for various employment programs, exchange programs and work placements for students who wish to undergo such experience in a different country. He/she will have to work very closely with the International Officer and the Careers Centre.
