I'm Lucy Padolsey and I’m your Vice President: Finance and Commercial Services.  I'm involved with:


- The Unions Finances, including setting and monitoring the budget and upholding the unions Financial Strategy,
- Commercial Departments and their Commercial Strategies. This applies to Bars, Ents, Catering, Shops, Marketing and Commercial Media,
- The planning and implementation of Capital   Projects, such as the Piazza Refurbishment.

- Enforcing the Unions Discipline Procedure,

- Chairing the Ethical and Environmental development committee.

    1)      Aims from the last meeting

    a.       Hold the first Free fest structured meeting

    b.Stop wait look and housing bazaar all sorted

    c.       Meet with jack to discuss the strat plan for better decisions

     

    1.)    BOT

    a.       Attended BOT and gave the finance report

     

     

     

    2.)    Website

    a.       Finance – ‘struggling with money?’

                                                                   i.      put the flash and article up on the website

                                                                 ii.      we have had over 800 hits on it in a week which is amazing!!

    b.      TSF website

    c.       Stop look wait videos are up on line – thank you pete

     

     

    3.)    Housing Bazaar (6th Dec)

     

    a.       Meet with Beno to discuss further

    b.      Met with people form Imago to discuss this

    c.       This year we are coming the housing bazaar with a small version of ‘pimp my bike’

    §  Sat down with James and worked on the posters and visuals for the housing bazaar verses pimp my bike.

    §  We will also be featuring the stop wait look campaign and TSF

     

    4.)    TSF

    a.       THE WEBSITE IS UP AND RUNNING – worked hard with James and the website is up and sorted with relevant information on it

     

     

    5.)    HSF

    a.       Attended HSF and responded about the feedback

    b.      Still chasing up money from the halls

    c.       Proposing the idea of a new awards – the HCA’S

     

    6.)    Stop, Wait, Look

    a.       Attended a PMT meeting and have a variety of actions from this

     

    7.)    Other areas of work

    a.       Not much here as have been off for a while

     

    8.)    Aims for next week

    a.       Meet with Jack about Better decisions

    b.      Freefest meeting

    c.       Stop wait look meeting and complete action points

- Improve freshers week for halls when they come to the union
- Set a prudent and achievable budget
