I'm Richard “Tricky” Smith and I’m your Vice President: Finance and Commercial Services.  I'm involved with:


- The Unions Finances, including setting and monitoring the budget and upholding the unions Financial Strategy,
- Commercial Departments and their Commercial Strategies. This applies to Bars, Ents, Catering, Shops, Marketing and Commercial Media,
- The planning and implementation of Capital   Projects, such as the Piazza Refurbishment.

- Enforcing the Unions Discipline Procedure,

- Chairing the Ethical and Environmental development committee.

    Three main points from this weeks report are:

    -Met with my University Buddy, Caroline Walker (Finance Director) and discussed the future of Falk-Egg and she informed me that there will be a new cash machine going in at EHB (Great Success!)

    -Chaired meetings about the new "Better Decisions" campaign.  Wrote a proposal report and have an introductory chats and emails about external funding for the project.

    -Got all the hall sponsorship sorted and contracts are now with the hall chairs

     

    Three aims for the next report are:

    -Contiunue work on "Better Decisons" campaign including shoot the video, order all extra's secure funding etc

    - Secure imago lunch deal, or at least try to

    -Attend the exec rag raid!
