I’m Alice Swinscoe your VP: Education for 2010/2011. My main roles are to: Ensure that you the students have the best learning experience possible by striving to enhance and improve it here at Loughborough University at all times. To support and improve department committees and Programme Reps. To ensure students are represented at University disputes. If you have any queries or problems regarding your course, or simply how to get involved, don't hesitate to email me or pop down to the union to see me.

    My three key areas which i have covered in my exec report which i have bene working on over the last two weeks are:

    • Better Decisions Campaign - Launching a peer pressure drinking campaign in freshers week and been in discussion with different University departments to try and secure funding.
    • College Development Proposal 2010 - 2012 - Been working on a college proposal to ensure the college gets the support needed and have a variety of oppotunities open to them.
    • Library Management Group - went for the first time, was a great opportunity to meet alot of library staff alongside Nigel Thomas who did a presentation on the student services he provides.

Below is my strategic plan for 2010/2011, it list my aims and objectives for the year. My three main are:
• Help support and improve links with the College.
• Support and Enhance department committees.
• Improve and enhance ‘voice’, promoting it on a larger scale.
