This is my 4th year in Loughborough recently graduating with a degree in Geography and Sports Science. I was mainly involved in Halls when I was studying spending 2 years on the Royce Hall Committee, 1 years as the Royce Hall Chair. I'm enjoying being the Student Activities Officer, working with the societies is fantastic and it's very rewarding to see some progress now taking place!

I have several major aims and objectives to accomplish as SAO, including:
* Having more new societies than ever before, and more members of Societies than ever before!
* Generally raise the profile of societies and associations making sure students know what they have to offer!
* Increasing the amount of storage and recreational space on campus

* Work with each society so they can reach their full potential! · Help the section maximise its potential so it continues to be something we’re all proud of!

* Help associations reach their potential through an Associations review
* Encourage students to get involved in Loughborough Students Union in general through involvement in inductions and representation of the Union.
* Target 25 - see below
Target 25
Target 25 is where I challenge msyelf to attend 25 Society events throughout my year in office! This could be a regular society event or a one off! The idea is to:
  • * improve the relationship between myself and the Societies,
  • * For me to get an insight of the Societies needs and requirements
  • * To raise the profile of the Student Activities Officer amongst the societies, and the society members.

Progress: so far i've:

* Attended and chaired the Belly Dance general meeting, Gospel Choir General meeting and the Recreational Running general meeting

* Judged the ACS Kings and Queens Night

* Conducted a reading at the Christian Union's Carol Service,

* Attended the Stage Societie's 'Full Monty' performance, which also starred Tuxedo Swing

* Visited a Hellenic Society Social

* Watched the Gospel Choir perform at the Santa Fun run, and joined in at times!
