I’m Jemima your Postgraduate Development Officer (PGDO). I love ski racing and have spent the last 6 months working on my PhD here at Loughborough and before that I spent a year here studying for an MSc. I also love postgrads and with this in mind I along with other membersr of the Union and University am trying to develop a sense of a postgraduate community here at Loughborough, one of the ways was to try and get all postgrads to join the postgrad forum/community, so please log on and leave a comment!

As PGDO I am specifically responsible for making sure that ensuring that Loughborough Students Union (LSU) caters effectively for the postgraduate community, enhancing the postgraduate ‘Lufbra’ experience. We are always looking for new ideas, so if you have any then please email me and let me know what you think.

The Postgraduate Association has had a couple of meetings since elected and are planning a postgraduate picnic for the summer along with a 'music event,' keep checking the postgrad pages on this website and also check out the facebook group - Loughborough Postgraduate Students Association to find out what is planned for the upcoming weeks.
If you are still thinking about getting involved with causal sport then John Phillips - the postgraduate only hall on campus need people to join up so please please email me if you fancy your hand at volleyball, badminton, tennis and many more sports!
I have also set up the Postgraduate Committee to look at postgraduate academic issues, there is one representative from each department who would like to hear your views, so please feel free to contact them at any time! My Key Responsibilities are as follows:
• Provide support and communication networks for the postgraduate community.
• Actively represent postgraduates at the Students Union Level particularly working with the Vice President of Education to progress LSU’s postgraduate student’s agenda
• To Work closely with the Graduate School and the Alumni Association to maintain and provide the opportunity for all postgraduates, to be part of the Loughborough legacy.
• Meet the social needs of the postgraduate community, through postgraduate specific events and help promote section events, training and services particularly of interest to the postgraduate community.
