I’m Jemima your Postgraduate Development Officer (PGDO).
I love love love ski racing and spent the last year studying for an MSc here at Loughborough and have now just started on my PhD. I also love postgrads and with this in mind I along with other memebsr of the Union and University am trying to develop a sense of a postgraduate committee here at Loughborough, one of the ways was to try and get all postgrads to join the postgrad forum/community, so please log on and leave a comment!
PGDO is a part time officer and a member of the executive committee.
You can find me in my office, in the exec office or in the union usually at Hey Ewe!
As PGDO I am specifically responsible for making sure that ensuring that Loughborough Students Union (LSU) caters effectively for the postgraduate community, enhancing the postgraduate ‘Lufbra’ experience.

Recent updates are that the Postgraduate Association has now been elected and that students are welcome to affiliate to John Phillips hall if they wish to play casual, but competitive sport.
My Key Responsibilities are as follows:
• Provide support and communication networks for the postgraduate community.
• Actively represent postgraduates at the Students Union Level particularly working with the Vice President of Education to progress LSU’s postgraduate student’s agenda
• To Work closely with the Graduate School and the Alumni Association to maintain and provide the opportunity for all postgraduates, to be part of the Loughborough legacy.
• Meet the social needs of the postgraduate community, through postgraduate specific events and help promote section events, training and services particularly of interest to the postgraduate community.
