Hi Guys,
I'm Pawel Malon and I am the Global Development Officer!
A bit about me: I am currently a 2nd year Automotive Materials Students. My position is only part time therefore I am able to do it alongside my degree. Naturally my life does not only consist of work! I actively play Ultimate Frisbee and Polo for Loughborough University; I am also involved with Model United Nations society and my department SSC committee.
What am I currently doing ?
Working on student mobility and exchange programs.
Organizing national celebrations for international students on campus.
Working with the university on providing students with international experiences.
Liaising with International Students Association on international students.
Making sure everyone receives the same Loughborough Experience.
I am specifically responsible for ensuring that the LSU caters effectively to the increasing need to support all students to prepare the big challenge in a world of global opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create a more diverse and multicultural environment to give all Loughborough students the best experience in a global market.
• Work closely with the Graduate School and the Alumni Association to maintain and provide the opportunity, for all students to be part of the internationally recognized Loughborough legacy.
• Build external partnerships with other universities, to encourage communication and support within the wider international community.
• To meet the social needs of the UK and international community, through more diverse and multi-cultural specific events
• To aspire to integrate all students from diverse backgrounds, and adopt the idea that ‘every students is an international student’ in this global world.
• Work in parallel with Loughborough University’s Strategy of Internationalization.
• To support joint efforts to promote a more globally attractive image of Loughborough University.
• To work with the LSU President on the Internationalisation
agenda.
