Job Description:

The Ethical and Environmental Officer is a part-time officer and is a member of the executive committee.
They are specifically responsible for ensuring that LSU operates in a socially responsible and environmentally friendly way.
Key Responsibilities:
• Research and inform Loughborough Students of relevant Ethical & Environmental issues/campaigns.
• Actively support and represent students’ opinions on Ethical & Environmental issues to the University and related meetings in the local area.
• Chair and co-ordinate the activities of LSU E + E.
• Organise, Co-ordinate and Promote key calendar dates, i.e. Environment Week (ethical christmas tips), Fairtrade Fortnight, The Wave, and all other events to all Loughborough students & staff.
• Co-ordinate and Develop Initiatives with external partners to reduce the environmental impact of the Loughborough Student (i.e. Halls Energy Efficiency League).
• Work closely with the Vice President: Finance and Commercial Services to tackle Environmental Issues the Union may face.
