Welcome!

Hi, my names Adam and I’m the Action Chair for 2010-2011. Action is the volunteering section of the Students Union. We provide opportunities for you to engage with the local community while doing something you enjoy and gaining some invaluable skills and experiences. Action is great for meeting new people, enhancing your CV and generally having a brilliant time.
There is a project for everyone depending on your interests and amount of time you can commit to volunteering. We offer one-off projects such as planting trees and painting playgrounds to weekly projects mentoring children in schools or running workshops for adults with mental health problems.
There are so many benefits so don’t hesitate to get involved.

    Here is my first ever exec report.

     

    My main ares of work this week include:

     

        - Meeting with external organisations to set up new projects for next year.

        - Setting up some new volunteer opportunities for international students.

        - Organising pick a project night and training sessons for all projects that require it.
