Fairtrade Fortnight 2010

February 22 - March 7

Once again, it was time for Fairtrade Fortnight, an annual event organised across the UK by the Fairtrade Foundation, and on campus by the University's Fairtrade Steering Group. Events ran throughout the two weeks. Details are on the poster, and in addition, the following event happened in town:

In support of The Big Swap, a Fairtrade-specific stall at the Saturday market in town on Feb 27 featured a one-week only swap where you could bring in your 'conventional' tea bags and swap them for twice as many bags of lovely Fairtrade tea. And for those who worried about finding the stall? Luckily, the had the beyond-lifesize inflatable cup of tea to look out for.
