Vice Chair
Andy Clarke
Responsibility to work closely with the E&E Officer on all issues, acting as a supporting role for any committee member who may need extra man power. The Vice Chair may be asked to attend meetings when the E&E Officer is not able to (although this may also be delegated to other relevant member of the committee).
This position requires a diverse individual with a varied skill set, as the position may make a wide array of requirements at different times.
Secretary
Selina Birdi
The Secretary organises committee meetings, takes the minutes and distributes them amongst the committee members. The Secretary is also responsible for the upkeep of the E&E mailing list and for any correspondence going out to this list (regular newsletters, etc.), through regular liaison with the E&E Officer. The Secretary may also be required to aid the Marketing and Publicity Officer with writing articles for the website / press.
Marketing and Publicity Officer
Kate Saunders
The Marketing and Publicity Officer has the task of helping increase the overall image of E&E on campus. That includes designing promotional material and coming up with ideas of how to get messages across to students. The Marketing and Publicity Officer may also at times be required to liaise with FREEC reps / Switch Crew to ensure the upkeep of the ethics & environment information boards (’BEST’ boards) which are located in every imago hall.
Preferably can work with Photoshop or other image editing software, but not required.
Volunteers Development Officer

The Volunteers Liaison Officer is primarily responsible for recruiting and retaining volunteers. Included in this remit is the development of new initiatives to involve more students and increased activities for our volunteers to participate in.
At events where lots of volunteers are required, the Volunteers Development Officer is responsible for communicating with helpers, both before, during and after the event. The Volunteers Development Officer may also be required to aid the E&E Officer as a point of contact for other student groups (such as People & Planet/ Environment League) and student campaigners.
Project Leaders & Support Officers

These positions will exist as a measure to facilitate the creation and progress of projects brought to the attention of E&E by students. For instance, if a student (or staff member) has an idea for a project or a campaign which they wish to take forward, they may bring it to the E&E Officer and committee for approval.
Fairtrade & Ethical Purchasing Officer
Richard Donnor
In charge of everything Fairtrade on campus. As this is a Fairtrade accredited university the FEP Officer may be asked to attend the University’s Fairtrade Steering group or Charnwood Action For Fairtrade. The FEP Officer campaigns on increasing the availability of Fairtrade and ethical items right across campus and raises awareness amongst students and staff about the importance of this area of E&E.
Recycling and Energy Efficiency Co-Officers
Hanna Vollan & Thomas Davis
The Recycling and Energy Efficiency Officer is in charge of promoting and coming up with new ways to save energy within the Students’ Union and around campus and also of coming up with ways to cut landfill waste and increase the availability of recycling facilities right across campus. She/he is also shares responsibilities with the E&E Officer for promoting the Halls Environment League.
