Luke Rank – Chair

Hey Everyone! My names Luke and my role this year is to lead the committee in its drive to improve your Loughborough Experience. I'm a second year Aero student and I am quite outgoing and love a good social whilst being keen on my flying (as any good aero should be) and road biking. I want to get to know as many people in our department as possible, so please dont hesitate to come up to me in the department and give me some second-name related banter or send me an email with any suggestions or idea you may have!

Adam Hill– Vice Chair

Hi Guys my name’s Adam and I’m your department vice chair for this year! I’m currently getting involved with your careers rep to create a placement forum for you guys to access and get the information you want whatever it is. I’m also going to be working on trying to get that vending machine sorted as well as other things like providing massive details for second years on what module options to take next year etc, as well as helping the first years out with anything they need. Kingsley Ripley-Student Involvment Officer

My names Kingsley and i'm your Student Involvement Officer for the committee 11/12! I'm a second year Aero, on the DTUS scheme and into pretty much anything I can do in my spare time! My main roles within the department are social, stash, sport and general involvement with University activities, so if you have any ideas, queries or anything else, get in contact with me on the email address above! Between myself and the rest of the committee we're trying to make this the best year any committee has for the department, so keep your ears peeled for various sports events (aero v auto!), social events, and the stash being rolled out soon!

Ben Montgomery- Careers Rep + Deputy SIO

Evening all! Apparently I'm your Careers Rep for this year! I'm a third year Aero currently looking at placements for next year, so I'm reasonably well placed for this role. As Adam has already mentioned further up the page, we've been working to create a Placements forum to make the whole process easier for everyone. Jack Mann- Postgrad + Sports Rep

Hello! I’m Jack and I’m the department’s representative for post-graduates but I’ll also be handling any sporting events across the year, liasing with Kingsley and maybe mixing in some après sporting socials! I’m a third year finalist on Aero Eng so feel free to use the email above for any questions on what its like to be a finalist too. The committee this year is actively seeking to set a successful trend for the years to follow, but most importantly increasing the Aero vs. Auto rivalry, particularly when it comes to sport! Laura Webber - Part A Aero Rep

Hi everyone, I’m Laura your Aero, Part A programme rep! I’m keen on flying and karting (aero and auto wahey!) and am part of this year’s Formula Student team. I’m here to help out with anything to do with our course whether that’s lectures, aero stash, or department socials. I’ll be able to raise any issues at department and committee meetings and speak with staff to make sure your first year studying Aero Eng is as good as it can be.

Frank Rodford - Part A Aero Rep

Hi All, I’m Frank and I’m your deputy course rep for the part A aero’s.I love anything with an engine in it, especially if it goes fast, and preferably makes a lot of noise while doing so. I’m into a bit of casual sport. Including squash and cycling and am always up for an enormous night out. Work permitting, obviously. After Loughborough, a very sad prospect, I would like to get a job which involves flying planes or at least maintaining/building them. Anything I can help you with, just get in touch, you should see me around a fair bit in lectures, at least.

Hi everybody, my names Ant, my role this year is to work with the committee to give part A students vies a voice. I am currently living in Bill Mo and pretty much your standard first year automotive engineering student and part time car bore. I am originally from Coventry (if you don't know where that is it probably isn't a bad thing...) and I am fairly interested in most things car related and get involved with a bit of photography on the side.
