2009 LSU Taekwon-Do charity Breakathon
Re-introduced for this year was the charity breakathon, a chance for members to show their worth and raise some cash for charity and the club by smashing as many boards as possible in a minute. The breakathon was held in the Union entrance during Freefest which attracted quite a crowd who watched and cheered as the mayhem unfolded.
In the end victory for the guys went to James Knight, breaking an equivalent of 66 inches of wood and Alison Webb for the girls, breaking an equivalent of 17 inches of wood. In total the event saw the club break 650 inches raising £312, half of which will go to local charity “The Children of Honduras Trust”
