Based at Burton Sailing Club on Foremark Reservoir, Loughborough Students’ Sailing & Windsurfing Club provides regular opportunities for its members to sail and windsurf. From introductory tuition including RYA levels 1 and 2 through to regular team racing, the club caters for all abilities and experience levels.

In addition to sailing at Burton SC, the club frequently participate in racing events for sailing and windsurfing at other universities as well as BUCS events. The BUCS disciplines in which we compete for sailing include Fleet Racing, Team Racing, Match Racing and the week-long Yachting event. BUCS Windsurfing is held annually in Calshot.

LSSWC has a close relationship with Burton SC and members regularly join in with club fleet racing on Sundays which is good preparation for events such as BUCS fleet racing and Southport 24 hour race which we also attend annually.

In addition to sailing and windsurfing, the club prides itself on having an excellent social side with regular nights out as well as meals and trips such as ice skating. In recent years, members have also arranged trips yachting in Greece and windsurfing in Dahab, Egypt.
