Equestrian Information
We have two teams that compete in BUCS and a further training squad. We also have a second very good training centre for those who wish to ride recreationally rather than compete and for those who have never ridden before. Our two training centres are called Brooksby College and Somerby Equestrian Centre. We have yearly pub hacks at Somerby!

Team information
The two BUCS teams compete in a league matches in order to qualify for nationals. There are four teams in each league, and four leagues in each region. One team and the two highest placed individuals qualify. At Regionals you have the same process for qualifying for Nationals which are in June at Hartpury college.
The competitions involve riding strange horses and trying to get a tune out of them. There is dressage and show jumping involved at a simple level, the show jumping starts at 80 cm until nationals when it can reach up to 1.30 m. The dressage starts off at a novice level and reaches Advanced-Medium at nationals.
