Whether you have played all your life, or you are thinking of trying something new, we have something for everyone.
Members of the club are divided into the following groups, each with their own allocated training/court times:
Elite
These are the high performance players. They are playing at national or international level.
Squad
In this section you will find players who play at county/top club standard.They also play in the Loughborough Student’s BUSA teams and the higher Leicestershire league teams.
Recreational
In the “rec” club, you will find people of all standards, from those who play in the club’s lower Leicestershire league teams, to those just after the odd game and some fun.
No-Strings
No-strings is a section of rec aimed at beginners standard. Once you have joined the recreational club, please only attend no-string sessions if you are a complete beginner. Although no-strings have less playing time than rec, all the sessions are in the badminton centre with an enthusiastic level 2 coach to help set up games and offer advice.

Prices include printing where applicable. All tops and tracksuits will be printed. Surname printing, for tops, will only be available for team players playing in Bucs or Leicester League.

IMPORTANT INFO
In terms of sizing for the kit, it comes in sizes: youth, small, medium, large and extra large with youth being the equivilant of an extra small.
For ladies the sizing is around 8-10 for small, 12 for medium and 14 for large, for the tops. For skorts it is recommended that you get a size up from the tops as they are quite small in comparison. For the skort a medium is a 10, large a 12 and extra large is 14.
For the guys the sizing is the opposite and is a bit bigger than you would expect. The shorts are baggy so it is recommended to get a size down from your usual. The same applies for the tops as they are wider than normal sizing.
The tracksuits are unisex resulting in them appearing quite long for girls. So it is recommended to get a size down for the girls especially if you are not that tall.
Carlton have a brand new racket range out this season. We are able to offer very competitive prices.

Last June Loughborough Students Badminton Club competed in Geneva in the European University Sports Association Championships (EUSA). They managed to come 2nd overall in the team championships. Below is a video showing some highlights from the event.
