As your Action Vice Chair, I see it as my job to be there for you the volunteer. I am always around and free for a chat and along with everyone else involved in Action I will make sure that your volunteering experience is as straight forward, enjoyable and satisfying as it possible!
Be it to extend your social network, keep you active or to help cool down when the going gets tough, Action can cater for your every need!
Through Halls, Societies, your AU Club or even off your own back, getting involved with Action will be the best move you've ever made!
Sarah-Emmanuelle Haar - Hall Reps Coordinator
My role on Action Committee as Hall Representative Coordinator is to be the support link for all Hall Representatives. I am responsible for co-ordinating and training Hall Reps to ensure they are able to fulfil their roles to their full potential. My job is to ensure that every Hall has a minimum of one Hall Rep and I will work towards getting a second in each hall. Working alongside Billy, I will help him organise the weekly Hall projects and also ensure that the League Table is updated regularly. Finally, I will organise socials and plan trips for Hall Reps ‘bonding’!
Daniella McGroary - Young Persons Officer
Don't knock Action until you've tried it! There are opportunities available at Loughborough which simply aren't possible elsewhere. Getting involved will develop your skills, add to your CV and most importantly, enable you to meet new people! Sports Action is a section with a number of varied projects which includes working in schools and the community using Sport as a tool to help others.
Scarlett Maclean - Community Outreach Officer
My job is new within Action and I’m here to look after all of the projects that we do with those that need the most help. From troubled youths to the homeless and everything in between, I’m here to make sure that you have the best voluntary experience possible and that they have people there to help them.

Livi Shepherd - Special Events Officer
Fancy dancing with the elderly or teaching a group of kids how to make the best paper aeroplane? How about organising a community-wide fun day or just watching a cinema classic? Special Events is one of the most fun and diverse sections of Action and there are very few things that we don’t do… We’ve even had volunteers play Santa before!

My role is to coordinate projects involving the elderly or people with disabilities. These projects can be very rewarding on a personal level and really make a real difference.
Michael Clark - Overseas Opportunities Officer
Volunteering overseas is a truly remarkable, often once in a lifetime experience, it is something that will live with you forever. The chance to provide help and assistance, even on the smallest scale, to communities in dire need across the globe is one worth grasping with both hands. With our exciting new opportunities in Mexico, Uganda & Cambodia, not to mention our continued sustainable work in Ghana and Nepal this year promises to be even more exciting and challenging than the last.

Action is an opportunity to make someone else feel good and a way to make yourself feel good. I'm just here to make it look good. With my role as Multi-media editor I am responsible for designing a lot of the promotional material and media output for action.
